The Madison Bulldogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 48-7 win over Custer. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.
Cohen Hahn had a dynamite game for Madison, throwing for 282 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes, while also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Shane Veenhof was in the mix too, providing Madison with two touchdowns.
Madison's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Custer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
Madison will head out on the road to face off against Dell Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dell Rapids will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Custer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
