The Pahrump Valley Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 21 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 52-18 win over Boulder City at home. The win was nothing new for Pahrump Valley as they're now sitting on four straight.
Pahrump Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kailani Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Paris Coleman, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Pahrump Valley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1. As for Boulder City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pahrump Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Palo Verde at 5:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for Boulder City, they will head out on the road to face off against Sports Leadership & Management at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Sports Leadership & Management is ranked 70th, while Boulder City is ranked 59th).
