Division II AA - West recap Oct. 30, 2012
Christian Brothers's Ramadi Warren rumbled for the longest rushing play in Division II AA - West this season in his game against St. Benedict at Auburndale last week. Warren's team defeated the Eagles as he sprinted for 90 yards on the play and finished with 192 in all.
Jordan Rodgers and Will Whitley provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Briarcrest Christian. The longest such play in the league this season, the connection resulted in 70 yards.
Memphis University's dynamic duo of Rodgers and Whitley proved tough for the Saints to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Rodgers threw for 189 yards and three touchdowns and Whitley had 92 yards receiving. Colton Neel helped Memphis University's passing attack out by catching four balls for 47 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Rodgers of the Owls is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2080. He has also thrown 29 touchdowns. On the ground, Christian Brothers' Warren has rushed for 871 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Anthony Miller. The Christian Brothers star has 36 catches for 580 yards.
Memphis University extended the longest winning streak in Division II AA - West this week by beating Briarcrest Christian, 42-24. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
