Queen of Peace (North Arlington, N.J.) fell 20-6 to
Palisades Park/Leonia (Palisades Park, N.J.).
The Tigers were up 7-6 at the half after taking the lead on a
Charles Simons touchdown pass to
Taj Huggins in the second quarter.
Palisades Park/Leonia's most effective player was Huggins. The sophomore wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.
The Golden Griffins' lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the second quarter.
PPL came into the game allowing 14.4 points per game.
The loss comes after Queen of Peace defeated Waldwick/Midland Park 12-7 last week.
Palisades Park/Leonia (4-2) will play a North Jersey - Meadowlands game against North Arlington next week, while Queen of Peace (2-4) will take on Saddle Brook also in a North Jersey - Meadowlands game.
