They will face off against the Valley Forge Military Academy Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dock Mennonite will be strutting in after a win while the Trojans will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Dock Mennonite strolled past the Knights with points to spare, taking the game 48-30. Given Dock Mennonite's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Knights are ranked 621st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Valley Forge Military Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight defeat. They received a tough blow as they fell 73-56 to Bristol. Valley Forge Military Academy has struggled against the Warriors recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Dock Mennonite is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Valley Forge Military Academy, their defeat was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.
Everything came up roses for Dock Mennonite against the Trojans in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 72-36 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Valley Forge Military Academy's Steven Hill, who scored 23 points. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be that much easier for Dock Mennonite to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
