It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Park Crossing Thunderbirds had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They secured a 72-68 W over the Toros. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Park Crossing was led to victory by Jayden Scott and Caden Anderson-teal. Scott scored 20 points along with five steals, while Anderson-teal dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. Scott continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Frederick Kelly Jr was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Park Crossing is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. As for Spanish Fort, they dropped their record down to 16-15 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Park Crossing is on the road again on Thursday and plays Lanier at 10:30 a.m. on February 15th. Lanier will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Park Crossing surely won't give up without a fight. Spanish Fort does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
