Northview's game  on Thursday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Saturday. They walked away with  a   3-1  win over the Steele Comets. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the   3-0 victory the Comets walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in September of 2024.
 Northview had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-16, 25-11,  25-18.
Northview found their leader in sophomore  Jade Hagan, who  had 12  digs and three  assists.  Alyssa Raczkowski also deserves some recognition as  she  served her first  ace of the season.

 Northview  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 15  aces. That's the most  aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.
 Despite the  defeat, Steele saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Callie Beckler  had three  digs and three  aces. Those three  aces set a new season-high mark for  Beckler. Another player making a difference was  Elizabeth Vidovich, who  had eight  digs and two  aces.
Northview now  has a winning record of 5-4. As for Steele, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northview will face off against Anthony Wayne at 5:45  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Generals will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Steele, they will square off against North Ridgeville at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
