Brookesmith has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Lohn Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Brookesmith gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 67-33 win over Lometa at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Brookesmith has posted since December 7, 2023.
Brookesmith's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jase Moreno led the charge by scoring 18 points. Another player making a difference was Trey Toft, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Lohn's three-game losing streak came to an end back in December of 2023. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 43-24 win over Olfen. The victory was just what Lohn needed coming off of a 56-9 defeat in their prior matchup.
Brookesmith has been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Lohn, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.
Everything came up roses for Brookesmith against Lohn in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 70-24 victory. Will Brookesmith repeat their success, or does Lohn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
