Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Canton's Winning Streak

Canton dropped their record down to 12-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 12-2 to Macon. If Canton was looking for revenge after losing 8-6 to Macon when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Macon, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-5. Considering they have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Macon's part, Ryder Lewis and Skyler Anderson did most of the damage at the plate: Lewis went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Anderson went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave Anderson a new career-high. Hagan Ritter was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Canton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Macon, they will face off against Fulton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
