Baseball Recap: Garber Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Garber barely beat Waukomis the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Garber was the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over Waukomis on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Easton Bell made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that he hit this season.

In other batting news, Caden Ramsey was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Garber always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Garber's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2. As for Waukomis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Garber is set to challenge their familiar foe Dover at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Waukomis will square off against rival Cimarron at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
