Sunnyslope has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Desert Edge Scorpions at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
 Sunnyslope will head out to face Desert Edge after giving up their first home loss of the season  on Thursday. Sunnyslope was beaten by Notre Dame Prep 59-14. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
 Although Sunnyslope took the loss, they still got scores from  Royce Vanacore and  Joseph Lee.

 Meanwhile, Desert Edge faced Higley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Desert Edge came up short against  Higley, falling  39-14.
 Even if they lost, Desert Edge's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks.  Joshua Hopphaus was especially locked on to Higley's QB and sacked him twice. Hopphaus is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made five or more in the last seven games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Sunnyslope's defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 2-2. As for Desert Edge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
 Sunnyslope ended up a good deal behind  Desert Edge in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023, losing  21-7. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  Desert Edge's  Aryon Thomas, who rushed for 200 yards while picking up 7.7 yards per carry.
