The Ossining Pride were the 85-47 winner over the Hendrick Hudson Sailors when they last played one another back in February of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Ossining fell just short of Hendrick Hudson by a score of 56-53.
Several Pride players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Claire Schnecker, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. Nicole Perriott was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 16 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Ossining were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hendrick Hudson only pulled down 12.
Among those leading the charge was Kaitlyn Raguso, who scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elyse Smith, who scored 10 points.
Ossining's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hendrick Hudson, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ossining will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Clarkstown South at 6:00 p.m. on December 6th. As for Hendrick Hudson, they will challenge Briarcliff at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
