With a playoff win on the line, York rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They blew past the Norcom Greyhounds 17-0. The Falcons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

York's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. As for Norcom, they dropped their record down to 5-16 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, York will venture away from home to challenge New Kent at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. Norcom does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
