Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, a fact the Buhach Colony Thunder proved on Saturday. They breezed by Yosemite on the road to the tune of 60-33. That looming 60-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Buhach Colony yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Buhach Colony to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaiden Sahota, who scored 11 points. The contest was Sahota's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Garcia, who scored 11 points.
Despite the defeat, Yosemite saw an underclassman step up: Fallon Vaughn scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for him.
The victory got Buhach Colony back to even at 6-6. As for Yosemite, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Buhach Colony and Central Valley will face off at 4:00 p.m. on December 27, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
