Make it six blowout wins for the Faustina Academy Falcons this season. They breezed by Lakewood Presbyterian on the road to the tune of 75-44 on Monday. That's another feather in the cap for Faustina Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Faustina Academy to victory were Matthew Denny and Ben Nelson. Denny almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten assists, while Nelson scored 31 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Nelson also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was CJ Agu, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, Lakewood Presbyterian saw an underclassman step up: Steven Montgomery dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. Yarnell Freitas was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two blocks.
Faustina Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Lakewood Presbyterian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
