Shorecrest had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Marysville-Pilchuck on Tuesday. The Scots never let the Tomahawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Scots this season.

Kaden Hamshaw made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Shorecrest got a massive performance out of Brooks Murray, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Murray is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabe King, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

Shorecrest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Shorecrest's record is now 7-3. As for Marysville-Pilchuck, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shorecrest will host Everett at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Seagulls will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Scots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Marysville-Pilchuck, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monroe at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
