It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Three Rivers Bulldogs can now relate to. They fell just short of La Villa by a score of 26-24. Three Rivers was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as La Villa apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.
La Villa had a senior duo take command as Brandon Felix rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries and Rey Perez gained 148 total yards and three touchdowns. Felix was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards.
Three Rivers' defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for La Villa, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Three Rivers does not have any more games scheduled as of now. La Villa will head out on the road to face off against Weimar at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. Weimar will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
