Make it six blowout wins for the Hazen Highlanders this season. They put the hurt on Interlake with a sharp 57-34 victory on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Hazen has posted since December 19, 2023.
It was another big night for Dakota Nap, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Makenna Garrett, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Interlake still got an impressive performance from Cammy Roed, who scored 13 points. Roed continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
The win got Hazen back to even at 9-9. As for Interlake, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hazen will take on Lake Washington at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Interlake won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lindbergh at 3:30 p.m. on January 20th.
