In what's become a running theme this season, the Boca Raton Bobcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They really took it to Leonard for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-47 win on the road. With Boca Raton ahead 54-25 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Brendan Mahoney had an outrageously good game as he scored 22 points along with five assists and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Luke Dahmer was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists and five steals.
Leonard's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emmanuel Augustin, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Bryce Reed who scored nine points. Augustin is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.
The victory (which was Boca Raton's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Leonard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.
Boca Raton will head out on the road to face off against the Pride at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Grandview Prep will be looking to keep their 11-game home win streak alive. Leonard will take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Royal Palm Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Wednesday.
