On Thursday, things could have been worse for Camden County, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-52 loss to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy. Even though they lost, Camden County's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.3 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the loss, Camden County still got an impressive performance from Xzavior Wiggins, who scored 21 points along with 6 rebounds. Wiggins scored a full 40.4% of Camden County's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Noah Chopek, who scored 10 points.
Camden County now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Camden County will take on Gates County at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Southampton Academy at 7:00 p.m.
