Strathmore barely beat Woodlake the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans blew past the Tigers 3-0 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Strathmore never let Woodlake on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-23, 25-17.
Hannah Jones paced Strathmore's offense, picking up 14 kills. Jones got some help from Pearl Johnson and her 24 assists. Allisson Hernandez controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Alexis Zequeida Rodriguez and Lulu Cervantes certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Zequeida Rodriguez had 25 digs and three assists, while Cervantes had ten digs and two aces.
Strathmore's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Woodlake, they moved to 17-13-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
