Lamar came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Buena Vista Demons 15-5. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Axton Morales was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and one run. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Alex Aguilar was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Lamar was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .387 or higher in six consecutive games.

Lamar's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Buena Vista, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar will venture away from home to take on Manitou Springs at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Buena Vista, they will square off against Las Animas at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
