Brackett has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Sabinal Yellowjackets at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Brackett ended up a good deal behind Hondo and lost 63-48.
Meanwhile, Sabinal narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past D'Hanis 56-53.
It was another big night for Joseph Contreras, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andres Reyes, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Brackett's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Sabinal, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Brackett strolled past Sabinal in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 72-54. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Sabinal's Joel Rodriguez, who scored 27 points along with three steals.
