The Addenbrooke Classical Academy Mustangs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They secured a 43-38 W over DSST: Cedar. For Addenbrooke Classical Academy, this counts as revenge for the 34-26 loss DSST: Cedar walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy was led to victory by Peyton Trujillo and Lucia Rodriguez. Trujillo dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Rodriguez dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Rodriguez hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.
DSST: Cedar lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Katelyn Fortune, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Fortune also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Raniya Paul was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six steals.
Addenbrooke Classical Academy's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for DSST: Cedar, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
