Azle Christian added to the longest winning streak in TCAF District 3 (6 Man) this week by beating Weatherford Express HomeSchool, 79-34. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Trinity Christian lost to Stephenville FAITH 54-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kyle Lanier was a bright spot for Trinity Christian, as he threw for 45 yards and ran for 26 yards in the defeat.
Joey Rosamond threw for 362 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was 15-18 with 0 interception.
Jake Bartell was the best wideout in the league this week as Azle Christian beat Weatherford Express HomeSchool. Bartell tallied 7 receptions for 186 yards. Cody Warren helped Azle Christian's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 61 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Fighting Crusaders' Rosamond and Bartell have proven to be a lethal combination. Rosamond has thrown for 1,461 yards this season, while Bartell, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 41 catches for 757 yards. Community Christian's Levi Knowles leads the league in rushing yards with 558.
