The Golden Demons had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their game on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 47-14 victory over Northglenn. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Golden also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Brooklynn Carbone was the offensive standout of the game as she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Ashlyn Bates was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals.
Golden's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Northglenn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Golden will face off against Broomfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northglenn, they will face off against Pomona at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Pomona focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Thursday.
