Football Recap: Mt. Carmel Skates Past Robinson with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Mt. Carmel over Robinson in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Golden Aces blew the Maroons out of the water with a 41-13 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Golden Aces had established a 21-point advantage.

Elliott Acree had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 114 yards and three TDs. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. Shain Meador got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Mt. Carmel, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Meador, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Mt. Carmel's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Robinson, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Mt. Carmel has already played their next matchup, a 32-7 win against Newton on the 19th. As for Robinson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 38-14 defeat against Casey-Westfield on the 19th.
