Baseball Recap: Leroy Has No Trouble Against Argenta-Oreana

While LeRoy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Argenta-Oreana Bombers on Tuesday as they made off with an 8-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kobe Brent was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for LeRoy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Smith, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.

LeRoy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Argenta-Oreana only posted an OBP of .300.

LeRoy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Argenta-Oreana, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Looking ahead, LeRoy will venture away from home to square off against Deer Creek-Mackinaw at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Argenta-Oreana, they will welcome Unity Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
