The Onsted Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Madison Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Onsted has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 29 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Hudson 64-23 at home. That looming 64-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Onsted yet this season.
Ayden Davis was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Onsted's points. Another player making a difference was Collin Gerken, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Madison, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 72-56 loss to Clinton on Tuesday. Madison has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Onsted now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Madison, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
