The Clark Chargers pushed their score all the way to 61 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 74-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spring Valley. Clark was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Spring Valley apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Clark's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was De'Shaun Tolever, who scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds. Alan Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
Alijah Adem had a dynamite game for Spring Valley, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 11 assists. Another player making a difference was CJ Joshua, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Clark's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Spring Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Clark will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Manogue at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Bishop Manogue is ranked 35th, while Clark is ranked 15th). As for Spring Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bonanza at 6:30 p.m.
