The Webster County Trojans won the last time they faced the Dawson Springs Panthers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Webster County took down Dawson Springs 73-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Webster County.
Dawson Springs' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Montgomery Johnston, who scored 17 points. Johnston scored a full 31.5% of Dawson Springs' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Rex Blue, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds.
Webster County's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Dawson Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Webster County will take on Crittenden County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dawson Springs, they will be playing at home against Heritage Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Heritage Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday.
