Basketball Recap: Prince RVT Comes Up Short

Prince RVT played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 84-50 loss at the hands of the Classical Magnet Gladiators. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-25.

When it comes to explaining why Prince RVT lost, don't look at Jordan Iverson. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 18 on his way to 21 points and seven boards. Iverson's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cal Williams, who posted ten points.

This is the second loss in a row for Prince RVT and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Classical Magnet, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prince RVT will face off against Cheney Tech at 6:30 p.m. on January 3rd. Prince RVT is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season. As for Classical Magnet, they will take on Hartford Public at 6:45 p.m. on January 3rd. One thing working in Classical Magnet's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
