The Bellevue Wolverines posted their biggest win yet this season on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 68-27 win over Interlake on the road. Given Bellevue's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Interlake is ranked 241st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Interlake lost, one person who can't be blamed is Harper Moore. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points. That was a full 40.7% of Interlake's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Bellevue's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Interlake, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellevue will face off against Hazen at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hazen will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Interlake, they will head out on the road to challenge Mercer Island at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mercer Island is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
