Ricky Elliott Goes Supernova in C.B. Aycock Win
C.B. Aycock picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Ricky Elliott. Elliott was dynamite, rushing for 149 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 53 yards.
Elliott must have South Johnston's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Elliott saw the Trojans), he rushed for 151 yards.

Jerimiah Peart Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Fike got the W thanks in part to Jerimiah Peart playing the best football he has all season. Peart rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.
The win was the third in a row for Fike, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Peart and Fike will take on C.B. Aycock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cameron Pittman Makes It Two for Fike
Keeping Peart company is Cameron Pittman, a fellow Fike player. He rushed for 63 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 123 yards on 11 of 22 attempts.
This season, Pittman has averaged 144.8 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to eight.

C.B. Aycock was led to victory by Antwain Grantham, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Grantham wasn't messing around, picking up a sack and making 12 total tackles (5.0 for loss). The game was his 13th straight with five or more total tackles dating back to last season.
South Johnston had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Grantham it was a similar story. Grantham made 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss) the last time he and the Trojans duked it out back in September of 2023.
