The Ridgeline Riverhawks's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Sky View Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Ridgeline is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sky View in Utah (Ridgeline is ranked 17th, while Sky View is ranked 62nd).
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Ridgeline ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They secured a 69-63 W over Bear River. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Ridgeline's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Cox, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Cox has scored at least a third of Ridgeline's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khyson Buchmiller, who scored 18 points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, Sky View came up short against Logan on Wednesday and fell 57-45.
Ridgeline's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. As for Sky View, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
Ridgeline beat Sky View 65-56 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Ridgeline have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sky View turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
