The West Noble Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Central Noble, falling 61-32. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Noble in their matchups with Central Noble: they've now lost four in a row.
West Noble lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Marley Mast, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mast has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayna C delong, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Central Noble's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abby Pliett, who scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Melissa McCoy was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
West Noble's defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-16. As for Central Noble, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-7.
West Noble will face off against Churubusco at TBD on Thursday. Churubusco is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. Central Noble won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Eastside at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th. Eastside is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
