The Chavez Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 87-56 loss at the hands of Tulare Western. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Leading Tulare Western to victory were Jaydon Henningham and Malachi Ficher. Henningham dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Ficher shot 4-for-4 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 34 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Ficher has scored at least 25% of Tulare Western's points. Another player making a difference was Kaine Garcia, who scored 15 points.
Chavez has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Tulare Western, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-3.
Chavez's road trip will continue as they head out to face Righetti at 3:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Tulare Western, they will face off against Kingsburg at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
