Rock Ridge hasn't had much luck against Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Phoenix will challenge the Pride at 6:30 p.m. Rock Ridge has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Rock Ridge is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Loudoun Valley, falling 14-0. Considering the last time the Phoenix couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.
Meanwhile, while Heritage put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Dominion. The Pride were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Titans. The Pride haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Addy Foley looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April.
At the plate, Natalie Groft was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Paityn Carr, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Heritage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Heritage's record now sits at 10-7. As for Rock Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
Rock Ridge might still be hurting after the 17-2 loss they got from Heritage when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Phoenix avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
