The Kemmerer Rangers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They suffered a rough 48-25 loss at the hands of Pinedale. Kemmerer lost against Pinedale in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 68-43 score last time.
Elyn Bowers was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with five steals for Pinedale. The contest was Bowers' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Erica Wilson, who scored five points along with four steals.
Kemmerer bumped their record down to 3-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.8 points per game. As for Pinedale, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Kemmerer will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rich at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. After both having extra time off, Pinedale and Lyman will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Lyman is ranked 30th, while Pinedale is ranked 11th).
