On the hitting side, Kynlee Mader was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Addison Alford was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Springs Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Borden.

Springs Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Corydon Central, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.
Springs Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Corydon Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .353. It's a different story for Springs Valley, though, as they've only averaged .230. Will they be able to contain Corydon Central's hitters?
Corydon Central took their win against Springs Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score.
