Baseball Recap: Clark County Extends Winning Streak to Three

Clark County waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Monroe City Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Clark County got a massive performance out of Corrick Hunziker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Those three stolen bases gave Hunziker a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Miller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Clark County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Clark County's record is now 11-5. As for Monroe City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clark County will welcome Macon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monroe City, they will square off against Louisiana at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
