Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arlington). They had just enough and edged out Monroe 8-7 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Peyton Aanstad spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grace Boekenoogen, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Jaubert, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.
