Rootstown has not had much luck with John F. Kennedy Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
It was another big night for Nick Ryan, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds for John F. Kennedy Catholic. Ryan is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nico Ciminero, who scored six points along with 14 assists and five steals.
Rootstown dropped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rootstown will face off against Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Aquinas has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three matchups. John F. Kennedy Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Canton Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Canton Central Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while John F. Kennedy Catholic is ranked 21st).
