Oakmont has been on the road for two straight, but  on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Nevada Union Miners at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  contest.
 Last Thursday, Oakmont was just a  hair shy of victory  and fell  21-20 to Lincoln.
 Despite the  defeat, Oakmont saw an underclassman step up:  Jayden Beattie picked up 129 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Beattie was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 69 yards.
 Meanwhile, Nevada Union ended up a good deal behind Placer on Friday and lost  26-8. Nevada Union has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Oakmont now  has a losing record at 3-4-1. As for Nevada Union, their loss was  their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5.
