With a playoff game on the line, Mead rose to the challenge  on Saturday. They skirted past the Roosevelt Roughriders  3-2. The  win was nothing new for the Mavericks as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Mead had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 10-25, 25-10, 25-16,  15-7.
 Mead was led to victory by  Alana Costello and  Ava Knudson.  Costello  had 23  digs, while  Knudson  had 13  digs. Costello has been hot , having  posted ten or more  digs the last five times she's  played.
 Mead has  been performing  well recently as they've  won ten of their last 12 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record  this season. As for Roosevelt, they moved to 17-8 with that  loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
 As of now, neither Mead nor Roosevelt have any future games scheduled.
