Boiling Springs has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Boiling Springs knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Bishop McDevitt likes a good challenge.
Even though Boiling Springs has not done well against Susquehanna Township recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Boiling Springs came out on top against Susquehanna Township by a score of 64-51.
Brandon Ascione continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points. He hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Yenser, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Bishop McDevitt came up short against Middletown on Tuesday and fell 43-34.
Boiling Springs' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Bishop McDevitt, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.
Boiling Springs ended up a good deal behind Bishop McDevitt in their previous meeting on January 3rd, losing 56-41. Can Boiling Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
