Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crooms Academy). They blew past the First Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders 7-1 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

Their offense was hitting First Baptist Christian Academy from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Mikail Nasser led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Crooms Academy moved to 2-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for First Baptist Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Umatilla the next time they take the pitch. Crooms Academy will head out to face Umatilla at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while First Baptist Christian Academy will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
