Wilson Magnet has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the World of Inquiry Griffins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wilson Magnet has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Wilson Magnet scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 90-40 win over Early College at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Wilson Magnet has managed all season.
Meanwhile, World of Inquiry's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Rochester Prep by a score of 52-49. The contest was a 20-20 toss-up at halftime, but World of Inquiry couldn't quite close it out.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jaedon Adams, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Junayde Richardson, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds.
Wilson Magnet's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for World of Inquiry, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Wilson Magnet beat the Griffins 77-69 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wilson Magnet since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
