Softball Recap: Ely Wins Going Away Against Chisholm

Ely won the last time they faced Chisholm and things went their way on Thursday too. The Timberwolves were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Bluestreaks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Timberwolves.

Clare Thomas was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Peyton Huntington, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Ely was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Ely now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Chisholm, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Ely is taking a road trip to square off against Two Harbors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chisholm, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Littlefork-Big Falls at 1:00 p.m.
