The Buckingham Charter Knights will face off against the Foresthill Wildfires at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Buckingham Charter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 15.3 runs per game this season.
Buckingham Charter proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, sneaking past 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted against the Wolves since April 19, 2018.

Isabella Ebert made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and three unearned) runs off ten hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.7 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Buckingham Charter let Khloee McClough and Ava SantaMaria run wild. McClough went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while SantaMaria went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. McClough is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rianne Ramoso, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Buckingham Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Foresthill's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 19-2 to Western Sierra Collegiate Academy.
Foresthill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rose Mellady, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.
Foresthill's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-7. As for Buckingham Charter, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Buckingham Charter has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 9.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Foresthill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Buckingham Charter's way against Foresthill in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Buckingham Charter made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildfires turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
